For all members of Troop 158, Troop 402, and Troop 142, as well as Middle School members of the First United Methodist Youth Group and their families-

Based on the feedback that I received from everyone who provided input, it looks like the trip will be 25-26 January 2014.  We will be going to Maggie Valley, NC to the Cataloochee Ski Area If we can get 15 total people going, then we will get a group discount on our lift tickets, ski rentals, and will be able to get free ski lessons for all beginners in the group.

The Troop will collect a $160 deposit for every person attending at the 7 January 2014 troop meeting and will make the reservations for the hotel and for the rental equipment.  Total trip cost is anticipated to be ~$160, but we will collect any additional costs or refund any extra monies after we return and all costs are accounted for.

We will plan to leave the Scout Room at 0600 on 25 January and arrive in time to get equipment and tickets and be on the mountain by 1PM.  We will ski until ~8PM that evening, grab dinner (on your own $) and proceed to our lodging for the night.

The next morning, we will get up and do breakfast at the hotel, a quick worship service led by our chaplain's aide and hit the slopes until noon.  We should be back in Tullahoma just after dinner on Sunday the 26th.
